This course aims to give students a grasp of a number of topics at ‘survival level’ whilst acquiring a basic idea of the structure of the language. Topics will include personal details, food and drink, shopping, and directions. By the end of the course learners should be able to understand simple expressions in a range of contexts, ask and reply to simple questions and have a basic awareness of the culture and customs of the country. Originally from Burgos in Northern Spain, course tutor Yolanda Fernandez has lived in Rutland for over a decade and is in her second year of teaching at Uppingham School. She has run a number of popular Spanish language courses in the past, all of which were sold out, so early booking is recommended!
