8058 Musical Minis (Mon 11 - Fri 15 Aug) Age 6 months - 4 years

11.15am – 12.00 noon daily £30 p.w.

The Musical Minis programme caters for preschool children. It aims to develop social, language, physical and creative skills through music in a fun session. The music has been specially recorded at a pace suitable for preschool children. Each short activity is designed to focus children’s attention using a visual or aural stimulus. There is a balance between seated listening and physical activity. Each session will build on the previous day. Children must be accompanied by parent or other responsible adult during the session.

Sessions are structured to include:

* Action songs to develop co-ordination
* Musical Statues to develop listening skills
* Musical instruments to explore sounds
* Story using puppets to introduce early orchestra and teach rhythm, pitch and dynamics
* Nursery Rhymes and songs to develop language skills
