8055 MTVideo Production (Mon 11 -Tues 12 Aug)
Plan, produce, film and edit your very own music video in this two-day course. Star in your very own pop video, created by and for you. Participants will learn storyboarding and basic Children’s Courses ‘22 Mad Science’Workshops video editing techniques and some tricks of the trade with James who works for BBC Nottingham. Working in groups each team will select their soundtrack, devise, direct, shoot and perform in their very own video, a copy of which will be sent to students after the event! Tutor: JamesTeather
8056 Introduction to DJ’ing, Beat Box and MC (Wed 13 Aug) 
Learn the skills and tips of DJ’ing and rapping from professional rap / MC artists. You will learn mixing and scratching techniques from real club DJs, and how to create rhythms, sound FX and funk beats by only using your vocal chords!!! Participants will split into groups to learn from our three professional music makers. DJ: Learn how to beat match and scratch, blending kicking tunes with a pro club DJ. A hands-on workshop. MC:Hints and tips on writing rhymes and raps from a real MC. Unlock your expressive and artistic rhymes and rhythms. Beat Box: Create music where ever you go, learn how to recreate drum sounds, special FX and brilliant beats with your very own voice. Tutors: Dectrofunk (DJs)
8057 Visual Jockey and Media Mixing (Thurs 14 - Fri 15 Aug)
A two-day course on DJ’ing but with a visual element! A glorious opportunity to learn about the most contemporary media practice around today, participants will use cutting edge technology to create their own images, film and visuals. Learn how to blend and edit for big screen displays.Witness your own creations on the big screen. This event features a mix of film, photography and music editing blending new skills with inspiring input from a true professional. Participants will input their thoughts and influences into one final hypnotic blend of visual excellence.
